Middle Eastern Bread & Baking recipe from the Wikibooks Cookbook.
½ cup flour 250 g water 1 tsp salt
Mix flour and water, adding water gradually, until left with a workable dough. Knead thoroughly. Cover the dough and let rest for about 5 minutes. Add salt. Separate from dough smaller portions and make into balls. Using a flat surface lined with flour, begin to roll out each ball into a flat piece of dough. Place flattened dough on griddle and bake until tender. On a heated griddle, cooking only takes a few seconds. Flip-over and cook the other side for only a few seconds. Remove from griddle and allow to cool. Fold and store. Category:Recipes for flatbread Category:Middle Eastern recipes Category:Recipes using wheat flour Category:Recipes using salt
